New clients are welcome to schedule a FREE 15-minute consultation through this portal.
Just select this option when making your appointment request. We will then call you at the number provided in your paperwork, at the time of your scheduled consultation. If you do not want to use a credit card to secure your consultation, please reach out to me directly in the contact form at the bottom of any page on our site.
We accept all major credit cards, as well as cash.
We do not accept checks of any kind. Payment is due in full at the start of each session and a credit card is required to schedule online. It is our policy to place a card on file through our secure client portal, Simple Practice. Clients can download statements and Super Bills directly through the client portal.
At the moment, I do not accept insurance. If you have an insurance plan, such as a PPO, I can offer a monthly receipt for services provided to you to submit for reimbursement. Depending on your insurance plan and the service, insurance companies may reimburse 20-80% of the session fee.
If you do intend to submit to an insurance company, please NOTIFY us as soon as possible, so that we can ensure proper documentation from the beginning, thank you!
If you are considering using your insurance for mental health coverage, there are benefits (e.g. part of your therapy bill will be reimbursed) but there are also risks (e.g. loss of confidentiality and loss of control of treatment). For detailed information on why it may be important to educate yourself before utilizing your insurance coverage, please see the following links.
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment and have not notified us 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay for the full cost of the session.

In an effort to make our services more accessible, Mentality Movement offers some reduced fee or sliding scale fee options. To explore whether we currently have any reduced or sliding scale fee openings, please contact us directly.
The current average cost of therapy per session within the Tampa Bay Area ranges between $120 – $200 per appointment. Depending on the service, our rates range between $75 – $150. If for any reason we cannot accommodate your budget or income, we will provide you with referrals to reduced fee clinics. While Mentality Movement cannot guarantee to accommodate all income levels, we will do our best to make counseling and wellness related services as affordable as possible.
